Kurulus Orhan Is Saying Goodbye To The Screens

The countdown for the grand finale of Kuruluş Orhan has officially begun. The series, featuring an expansive ensemble cast that includes Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Mahassine Merabet, Alina Boz, and Şükrü Özyıldız, is coming to an end.

​Following consistent unsatisfactory ratings, the historical drama is wrapping up its journey with episode 26. The series finale is expected to air on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 on ATV, unless there are sudden changes to the broadcast schedule.

​Historical thrillers produced by Mehmet Bozdağ have been ruling the Wednesday time slot for over a decade, first with Diriliş Ertuğrul on TRT1 and then with Kuruluş Osman on ATV.

Unfortunately, Kuruluş Orhan could not maintain this momentum in the face of a highly competitive television landscape.

It is fair to note that the show was introduced earlier than originally planned. Production was expedited following Burak Özçivit’s decision to exit the role of Osman Gazi. 

​Exhausted by the demanding shooting schedule and following disagreements with the production team, Özçivit departed at the conclusion of the sixth season of Kuruluş Osman. Consequently, Kuruluş Orhan made its way to the screens ahead of the initial timeline.

​While the series struggled to mirror the exceptional ratings of its predecessor, it also faced challenging new competitors. The show was scheduled against the highly anticipated Eşref Rüya, creating a difficult time slot rivalry.

​The competition grew even more intense when another new series, Yeraltı, entered the fray. This new project quickly gained traction, ultimately leaving both Kuruluş Orhan and Eşref Rüya trailing behind in the ratings.

​Following these ratings challenges, the network and production team made the strategic decision to conclude the show directd by Bülent İşbilen, and pivot toward a new project titled Aşk ve Taht in the new season.
