Ilhan Sen Talks About His Role in "Halef Koklerin Cagrisi"

The upcoming series Halef: Koklerin Cagrisi is set to premiere soon on NOW, with İlhan Şen stepping into the role of Serhat. The actor recently shared his thoughts on the character and what drew him to the role.

Şen described Serhat as follows:

“Serhat is a strong, determined, and natural leader. But at the same time, he’s a sorrowful man… Even though he has the power to do anything, he chooses not to use it. That contradiction is what fascinated me. He rejected the fate assigned to him by the land where he was born and built a completely different life—he became a doctor. But life surprises him, and just when he finds love, he’s forced to return to Urfa, to his family.”

Highlighting that Serhat’s journey unfolds in the midst of a major conflict, Şen summarized the character’s story with these words:

“When he returns to Urfa, he finds himself caught in a long-standing feud between two rival families. On one hand, he supports Yıldız, helping her stand on her own feet, and on the other, he tries to protect the woman he loves, Melek. But it’s not easy at all… Because both his own family and the opposing side carry secrets from the past. Serhat’s journey is shaped under the shadow of these secrets.”

For Şen, the role is both challenging and deeply exciting:

“It’s a very exciting role for me. I believe the audience will see reflections of their own inner struggles in Serhat.”

The much-anticipated Halef: Koklerin Cagrisi will premiere on Thursday, September 18, exclusively on NOW.
