Burcu Ozberk And Cihangir Ceyhan Set To Star In Cappadocia Based Series Anne Yarisi

The preparations for NOW's upcoming series Anne Yarısı have been speeded up. The series, which will be shot in the mystical location of Cappadocia, is planned to kick off shooting on the 1st of August.
The series, which stars Burcu Özberk and Cihangir Ceyhan in the leading roles, centers around a story of sacrifices and the clash of two different geographies. The plot follows Zeynep, a woman who experiences a painful loss when her sister, Zeren, passes away in Germany.
Following the tragedy, Zeynep travels to Cappadocia to look after her niece, Ege, who was left behind as an inheritance from her late sister. Upon arriving, she finds herself caught in the middle of a major family battle involving Nevşehir's prominent Altay family.
The return of the family's heir, Ali Altay, to his hometown along with Zeynep and his daughter causes a massive uproar within the household, which is governed by the strict rules of his matriarchal mother, Meryem.
The cast features Burcu Özberk as Zeynep (a strong-willed school teacher who loses her sister), Cihangir Ceyhan as Ali Altay (the heir to the prominent Altay family), Esra Dermancıoğlu as Meryem Altay (Ali's strict, matriarchal mother), Yeliz Korkmaz as Nazlı (Ali's young daughter), Merve Şen as Sibel (Zeynep's older sister), and Fatih Gühan as Kadir Bayındır (a paternal cousin living in the neighboring mansion whose hostility toward the Altay family is at an all-time high).
Produced by Mehmet Yiğit Alp under NTC Medya for NOW, the series is directed by Semih Bağcı and written by Melis Civelek, Zeynep Gür, and Merve Göntem, with script reading sessions scheduled for the final week of July.
Anne Yarısı is expected to premier in September.
